A new Highland Regiment has been formed in which young soldiers from all over Britain receive intensive training for the day when they are old enough to be drafted to regiments of their choice.
Lads volunteer from age 18, stating their chosen regiments. The training is planned to produce the
highest standard soldier and to maintain the great traditions of famous Scottish regiments.
The unit, known as the Highland Regiment will have its own distinctive badge.
